Where I stayed
right on Camp Creek
First day- left home
about 5pm.. pulled in to Camp Creek in the dark at 10:30. We are in lot 12…..I
can hear the river running next to us. Morning will tell us more. The drive was
a bit stressful….pulling the camper for almost the first time…..through the
mountains, in the dark, raining, 70 MPH speed limit, toll booths and rough
"washboard" roads. I was
thankful to make it to the park.
Day 2- Camp Creek 4/16/2010
WV
Slept well last
night-when we pulled in late last night we couldn't see a thing. Pulled in to
the first pull through because it was too dark to back. We heard a river or a
stream very close. Woke up about 7:30 to
a beautiful sight! We have a water front
lot…….a babbling brook is just a few feet from our door. The water is crystal
clear. The campground is nestled at the bottom of several mountains/hills. It is small, the lots are large and roomy.
The showers are clean with hot water . Getting ready to explore the campground
and park. The sun is shining but the air is cool and crisp. Ready for a morning
walk. Anyone going to the beach….this is about half way and less than 2 miles
off the interstate.
Beautiful
Place…….waterfalls and thousands of Rhododendron bushs…they will bloom late
june.On to Asheville!
