It happened to be raining for our visit to the Blarney castle but we still enjoyed ourselves. We toured through the castle reading about old rooms with wooden floors that had now rotted away so we were now looking up into the next room above as well. We made our way up to the top level of the castle and to the Blarney stone. We each took our turns kissing it and proceeded to wipe our mouths with disinfectant wipes because it is rumored that locals pee on the stone (which is partially why we were ok with the rain cz we figured it also helped wash the stone a little, haha)!

All around the castle there were gardens and ponds to take pictures of and so we walked around to take a look at the fairy garden, the witch's hideout and rock, some very big ancient trees, and more. Behind the castle there is also a Poison Garden that has a lot of different poisonous plants growing in it, each with a warning and explanation of the poison it contains. There were plants that ranged from plants in the Harry Potter books, to rhubarb (the leaves are poisonous), to poisonous trees, and they also used to have a cannabus plant but it was confiscated by the authorities and they are working on getting a permit for another one.

We planned on stopping in Kilkenny for my birthday and after some looking around we found a resonably priced place to stay. Before going out for the night we got some mickey's for our room so we could have a couple pre-drinks and put candles on the cake\tart we got for my birthday and Mom, Dad, and Jackie sang me Happy Birthday! We then lit the candles once more so we could sing happy birthday to both Jackie and I.

Now to the drinking; we went out for supper at a 400 year old inn that was rumored to once be owned by a witch. There was a live band playing in the beer gardens and the food was awesome! After eating we went and stood in the jam-packed beer gardens to listen. When it was close to the end of their set we made our way to another pub that was having a live band play at 9:30pm to get seats before it got packed. We ended up playing cards for a while since they were still setting up but when they started playing the people started pouring in and it was a great time! We kept the drinks flowing and it was an awesome birthday!

The band played awesome Irish music the whole time and Mom even got some spoons from the bar and went up by the band and really got into it with the spoons! It was hilarious and awesome at the same time!

When the band was done they just played music on the bar's system for a while but eventually shut everything down and we weren't done yet but relunctantly left and started home (Jackie made sure to grab the now infamous spoons Mom had played). When we were just about to go into our B&B another couple also heading there told us that there was a nightclub still playing music just up the street so we made our way there instead! It was almost absolutely empty but they had a dance floor and were still playing music so we took complete advantage of our luck and all got out to dance.

I had told Luke we would skype him that night so he could wish me happy birthday and the bar just happened to have wi-fi so I ran back to the B&B to grab the laptop and mom, dad, and I sat outside to make the call (Jackie was drunk and too busy inside making friends with random people).

Afterward we continued to party to the great American classics the DJ was playing like Teenage Dirtbag and Whats My Age Again and others of the sort! Haha. Jackie even (with the help of her new friends she made) got the DJ to write me a Happy Birthday message on the big screen at the front of the bar where the music videos were playing on, isn't she the best girlfriend ever!? Eventually the music was over and before we left Jackie decided she had to call Luke too because she missed out (sorry Luke, I'm sure it was all gibberish; she didn't even remember a word of it). We finally all stumbled back to our rooms and after a few more laughs and drinks and even a bit of cake we called it a night.
