We managed to get up at a reasonable time (11:00am, haha) and went for a walk down to the river where we were attacked by a group of about 20 Chinese tourists who very badly wanted to take their picture with us. So after 10-15 pictures they let us go and we went on our way (every time we thought they were done another one of them would come rushing over to stand by us).
After walking by the river for a bit we found a workout park with equipment everywhere so I (James) tried a few of them out while Jackie video-taped my efforts. Once we were done fooling around at the park and wandering the streets we picked up some mandarine oranges and a box of egg tarts and headed back for a nap in the A/C because it was around 30 degrees outside and very humid.
We woke up around 5:30pm and went for supper at our favourite restaurant again before we got picked up at our hotel for the light show we were going to at 6:30pm, the 'Impression Liu Sanjie'. When we reached the parking lot of the ampitheatre it could easily be compared to a cattle auction, there were people yelling everywhere, shoving this way and that, and when we were finally allowed to go through the gates there were hundreds of people being corralled into two tiny rows. We found our seats and waited for the show to start.
The show in a single word would be fantabulous. There were tons of colored lights, craploads of boats, people with torches, and to cap it all off it seemed everyone in the show was dressed in a 'litebright' suit that they could turn on and off in sequence. All in all it was an awesome show and I really did a crappy job describing it, just go see it for yourself.
