When we got on the beach the next thing we noticed straight away was that the Cathedral Arch was roped off with a big warning sign by it telling people to not pass through (and onto what is actually Cathedral Cove around the corner) because falling rocks are commen and so I guess it willone day just collapse
We spent the rest of the morning and some of the early afternoon once again in the sun and enjoying a small dip in the water. We definately enjoy our lazy days in the sun!
When we eventually started to overheat and get a bit sweaty we decided to make the hike back up to the car park, which was much more difficult going up and in the mid-day heat!
We had thought about checking out some more beaches in the Coromandel area but instead decided to move on and make our way through Auckland and onto the Northland.
We stopped quick in Auckland to stock up on groceries and then continued on to a campsite by a small town called Waipu to spend the night as it was getting dark.
