We got up in the morning and tackled the cold outdoor showers as our hair was starting to get a little greasy. Needless to say the shower sucked but we were clean again and happy once we got back into dry clothes. Then with little to do we were off straight away again.

Our first stop a couple hours down the road was the Valley of the Giants canopy walk. After not being able to do the canopy walk in Kuala Lumpur we were excited for this one. Basically it's a steel ramp that winds through a forest of massive trees and the highest spot is 40m. Right away James started to sway the bridge a little, once he saw how uneasy I (Jackie) was on the little unsteady catwalks. I had no idea that I would feel so shaky up there and my legs would turn to gelly so bad. I used to be afraid of bridges when I was younger but I had thought that fear was long gone, guess not quite. James had fun with it of course while I cursed him practically the whole way around.

After the canopy walk there is the ground walk and we snapped a bunch more pictures walking in and out of the huge hollowed trees. Then there was a little information room back at the ticket area and we found a map with places to see in the surrounding area. We saw a picture of a beautiful beach called Conspicuous bay and decided we would make the stop along our way.

When we got to the parking for the bay we pulled out our supplies and made hamburgers for lunch (we're spoiling ourselves!). Then we packed back up and headed down to the beach. Our jaws dropped when we got down there. It's unsupervised and was totally deserted and you'll have to look at the pictures to see just how amazing it was. James immediately started to jump around like a little kid and I ran straight to the water. James spotted something washed up in the sand and decided it was either a jellyfish of some sort.....or a condom. We spent quite a while just walking along the beach taking pictures and playing around. This has been our favourite stop so far.

Afterwards we had a little ways to drive down the highway yet and then it was time to find a campsite. We got pretty lost and it took quite some time to find a site because the sites we were looking for from two different camping books we had ended up not existing (we even asked at a gas station and they said one was just a boat dock with no camping) and so we had to drive all the way around the lake and back to where the campsite actually was.
