Where I stayed
On the first day of our diving we did our navigation test and it went pretty good, even though we were supposed to dive again at 2:30 we canceled because Jackie was having trouble with her ears and it's not a good idea to dive if your ears are messed up. We spent the rest of the day reading on the beach and Jackie was getting worse because she started getting a head cold so we had to postpone our dives for the next morning as well.
We didn't end up diving at all the next day though either cause of Jackie's head cold and spent it getting some sun and going into the pool to cool down. It turns out that the week we were there was also the hotel's yearly cleanup so the kitchen was shut down for two days and they weren't even serving drinks or anything so we had to go elsewhere for meals and such
Jackie was feeling better so we went ahead with our deep dive in the morning which was down to 30m and in the afternoon we did our wreck dive around a big jetty that had sunk just off shore. We saw some clown fish, scorpion fish, a puffer fish, and a gigantic turtle (I-James- wanted to ride it but thought that might piss the instructor off a little). When we got done our dives for the day Jackie was starting to feel ill again and figured she wouldn't be able to dive the next morning which was the plan. She had a fever and got crazy hot to the touch so she was trying to drink as much water as possible to stay hydrated. The next day Jackie stayed in bed while I updated our blog for the past week or so and went swimming in the pool (no diving this day).
We forgot to mention that there are no cars or scooters on these islands which made it much quieter and less of a hassle. The only thing to get around with is bicycle or horse and buggy. There are also no dogs on the island because the locals hate them, there are however dozens of stray cats. The weird thing is that they cut the cats tails off because they remind them of snakes or something, so every cat (save a few who live at some hotels) have short mangled tails (including ones that are only a few weeks old).
