First day in singapore... we slept.

No, like really, we slept all day!  Our plane got in around 5:45 in the morning, we woke Yasmine up around 6.  After a good long reunion between Yasmine and Jackie, Yasmine had to get ready for work.  Considering our options, we decided a short nap before we start the day was a good idea.  And since we were on vacation, neither of us had cellphones with us (and neither of us normally wears a watch, so no time, no alarm).  We woke up around 8pm (PM!!!) to discover that Yasmine would be home in about an hour or so...

Well, no point in doing anything now, we thought!  But lucky for us, Yasmine called us after she was off work, and I managed to convince Jackie that we both would feel better if we at least tried to get up and move around, do some stuff at least!

We met Yasmine at the Esplanade Mall, where we began our walking night tour of a small fraction of Singapore.  Right across from the mall was Marine Bay Sands, just completed!  And just north of us was the newly built (and recently repaired!) Singapore Flyer! I just can't wait to go on that thing and see how high of a view we get!  Following that, we went on to the Fullerton Hotel, where we got to see Kimmie's dad's sculpture of kids jumping into a river.  Since it was night time, and it was a bit too far for our walking tour, we settled on the view from the New Asia Bar instead.

All in all it was an AWESOME night tour, Thanks Yasmine for showing us around!
