We flew to boracay (an island ~200mi south of manila) via a 17 passenger prop plane operated by south east asian airline. It turns out there were only 4 of us that boarded the plane. It was like our charter flight! Sweet! Took some aerial pictures of the various islands of Philippines, the islands look amazing. We landed on the caticlan island and took a 7 min ferry ride to the island of boracay. At the boat dock there are lines of motortricycles waiting for passengers. They put us in 1 tricycle. That's 4 guys, our luggage, plus the driver, on a little 150cc engined  motor trike. Why would you need anything bigger? We arrived at the paradise bay resort, with 4 tropical fruity drinks waiting for us at the checkin counter. Very friendly staff. The resort ground is very nicely kept. I highly recommend this resort except for the fact that it is located on a not so nice beach. During lowtide you see all the exposed seaweed. It is also located on the windy  side. The water is kind of cloudy (slightly higher turbidity, but still way better than manila river) here so very few people go for swims in front of the resort.most tourists go to the white beach located on the opposite of the island for beach activities. everyone is starting to consume large quantities of fresh mango shakes.
