Welcome again! So after Bay of Islands (all pix will be up soon), after a quick stop off in Auckland again for a night, we all headed for Mercury Bay. Which, without confusing you, is another stop off on the way to Rotorua! We got to Mercury bay in the evening after going on yet another walk organised by our bus driver. (mums, you would have been proud of us)! Walking along the coast line, through land that we swear we have seen in The Lord of The Rings!
After burning off an unwelcoming amount of calories that we have spent the last 4 months carefully putting on, we were greated to the welcoming site of home made chilli, which went down a treat! Now Mercury bay may sound a lovely place full of opportunity, unfortunately, that wasnt the case. Once again nothing to do, not even of the extreme sporting variety! Knowing that the ouitside temperature was reaching -4, we all snuggled in the lounge to watch family favourites such as American Pie 3, White Chicks, and Old Skool. All soon to be classics. On to Rotorua tomorrow, where we have heard that there will be a Mauri tribal evening and a feast!! Something to look forward to!!!!! Jack and Andrew xx
