Well, here we are! In Auckland, New Zealand! After leaving the fantastic country of Australia! Ok, i cant do this anymore, i cant sound happy in this entry. It just wouldnt be right! The day we left Sydney was Doomsday! Andy and I have left the 3 guys who have completely transformed this trip from fantastic, to........stupendously, fantastically, fantastical! Oh, by the way, ive just made up those words! Im sorry if this e mail turns out to be a tribute, but so it should. Like tributes to John Lennon. Like tributes to the Notorious B.I.G. Like tributes to Legends and Pioneers. This is a tribute to Dan (Tired Wombat), Matt (The Archbishop) and Patrick (White Glove). For those who dont know, we have all had nicknames for the last month. Andy' was Ginger Tea and mine was The Colonel. Long live the fantastic 5! Patrick has stayed in Sydney at The Cross (god bless) to find work, Dan and Matt have flown to Christchurch, New Zealand, where they will be starting their trip there, while Andy and I are in Auckland, in which we will be starting our long awaited Kiwi Experince at 7am tomorrow morning! o dear me! By the way lads, Andy and I went out for a meal last night to a chinese place and i kept on turning around expecting to see you 3.......i saw nothing. It was a sad moment. I dont mean to nick Dans words but its very true, that while travelling, after meeting someone for 2 days, they can easily feel like your best friend, so after 2 and a half months, we were like family and thats no exaggeration whatsoever! I would like to mention that The Colonel did end up 1st in the pool competition. Cheers lads!! :-)
Anyway, so Andy and I are in Auckland! It seems a lovely city but with a few too many hills to walk up and down, and there is no denying it, its no Sydney! We are both about to venture outside Auckland tomorrow to explore fantastic scenery, complete skydives, climb glaciers, watch Andy stupidly jump off a bridge and keep on missing the lads!! Hopefully, we will cross paths in New Zealand, where we can relive passed heavenly memories of Barrington Tops, Wispy and a naked Kimbo! If not, we have plan B, meeting up in Wales to see Matt and Dan and then Patrick in November when he comes to the UK. However, lucky old Andy will beable to see the bearded Canadian, when he is there with his family.
Anyway, i will write again, with more news of our travels once we have left and explored NZ abit more outside of Auckland, there should be some photos up soon! Thanks to everyone who managed to finish reading this e mail before falling dead with boredom about hearing bout the wonders of people that they dont know. If you have managed to do so, finish off by pouring out some drink and then raising a glass to the Fantastic 5!! Remember: Matt (The Archbishop), Dan (Tired Wombat), Andy (Ginger Tea), Patrick (White Glove) and Myself (The Colonel) WILL ROCK YOU!!! See ya soon guys, Jack and Andrew xx

poor keyboard!
Colonel and Ginger...I, Paddy have joined Danno in pouring goon on the travelbug keyboard. Fortunately the mouth breather at the counter only looks confused. Lots of love,
Patrick S.
