Rode 26 miles to Cameron which is still on the Navajo Reservation and on mile 25 I hit a fercious head wind. I only had 52 miles left to Flagstaff but with that head wind I didnt know if I could make it.

So I cheated, I hitch-hiked for the first time and it was quite easy. Metilda and her son from the Navajo Tribe let me get a ride with them but it was one of my highlights of my trip because in 1 hour with Metilda I learned more than I ever have from school about Native Americans and their culture.

I orignally thought that I wanted to ride every mile of this trip but Im glad I gave into that because I had a great learning experience by hitch-hiking.
