Probably below freezing when I wake up this morning (10/24/08).  However, the sunrise was well worth the the cold.

The sun came flirting over the rock walls setting its rays right on the Colorado River.  The river still seemed to be waking up as well because there were no ripples but only the sound of what appeared to be a small stream.

Started the ride at 9am and I was fully clothed with my winter jacket and everything but it quickly warmed up to 70 degree.  I wont even do justice if I try to describe what I rode thru.  Ill send photos and hopefully that will give you an idea of the raw beauty that Utah possesses.
Watching my two other riding partners on the open ride is quite a unique feeling.  I will find myself giggling sometimes just at that site.  TWO PEOPLE PEDALING SIDE BY SIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF NO-WHERE.  Try to envision that just for one moment.
Finally , reached civilization , MOAB.
Staying in a 9 dollar hostel, which I still cant believe.  Havent showered in 4 days so Ill do sometime to clean up and relax.  My body feels great but Im little tired because I have not slept that well at night so Ill give myself a little break.

I split up with the couple but I might be joining another pair who are heading the same way as me.  There is a bicycle network and once you get on your bike , you belong.
