Where I stayed
Kylie and Reece's house
50 miles
4 hours of ride time.
When I woke up this morning, I had no idea where I was going. Luckily I stumbled upon US-6 and rode along the colorado River until I hit another dead end. I had to jump a barbed wire fence and continue on the freeway for 15 miles. Those 15 miles were increble and they actually had a bike path along the freeway occasionally if the freeway was not ridable. Imagine a canyon with the Colorado River flowing between two large bluffs and a freeway etched out of the side of one of those bluffs and then a throw a bike path in there for good measure.
Stopped in Palisades, a small little wine town where everyone says hello and then actually waits to hear your response. I finally found US-6 after riding on I-70 for a long period of time. It appeared that a storm was rolling in and luckily I avoided it.
I rode by Splizio Field where Sarah Palin was giving a speech.
Staying with Kylie and Reece at Mesa State College, good family friends.
Heading to Colorado National Monument.
