After a breakfast of Osoyoos fruit on the road, Jason had hoped to experience a BigYahkAttack burger in Yahk, but apparently it's extinct. He got a funny look in the local store when he asked about it. Then we stopped in Cranbrook and bought some lunch, which we also ate on the road on the way to Fort Steele Historic Town (named after Sam Steele of the Northwest Mounted Police). It has over 50 restored and reconstructed buildings from circa 1887. There were very few people there, which is the nice thing about traveling in September. We continued north from there and then drove 21 km up a gravel logging road to Alces Lake in White Swan Provincial Park. Tomorrow morning we will have a dip in Lussier Hotsprings. Can't wait.
