Having been told we were only an hours train ride from New York we hopped on board and headed in at 10am fo9r the day - we were due to meet Austin and Sara at 6:30 so had plenty of time, until the train broke down!! We sat for 30 mins on the track with rail road men running up and down in a panic, eventually a train pulled alongside and we were all told we had to transfer to that one walking across one train to another - a que gathered and we all squashed and que'd over the next 20 mins two lots of passengers on one train all moaning and squashed, they then could not get the train started as a door was blocked and another 10 mins passed and we finally got under way to an annoucement "well that went really well its not an easy thing to rescue another train and get such a smooth transitition" Christ sake if that was smooth!!
When we got to Grand Central we headed to 42nd street and uptowards Times Square, we were hoping to go to Central Park but after Times Square - Hard Rock Cafe - Macy's and various others time got the best of us so we will be back!
Train back to WestPort - Car Back to Norwalk - Shower to cleanliness and drive to Texas Steakhouse we arrived at 18:45. Austin and Sara were such great company we shared Ribs and Steak My Brown ordered a Dallas Fillet and OH MY GOD this is why cows were invented - I kid you not this steak was amazing pink middle (we even tried to resusatate it) grilled outer, I shed a tear for the vegaterians I'll tell you that, we laughed all night and had such a wonderful time we will never forget. We feel almost sad to leave tomorrow.
