Ahhhhhhhhhh I had a fantastic three days on the trek, and done loads of walking. I stayed in two tribe villages and got to white water raft and ride elephants too.
we trekked for miles into the hills and saw some fantastic views and met some really great people from everywhere except America and France (woohoo) heheee
We had a bit of an accident in the rocks you see here they were really dark and went down into the hills and it was tough to see where you were going, I heard a thud and the next thing I knew blood was spitting out onto the rocks
don't worry though it wasn't my head it was just some German girls :-)

This is where we slept the first night, 11 of us in the village with the tribe on bamboo beds
Were they uncomfortable you ask............. You bet your ass they were!!

After brekkie we headed off into the jungle again, it was Elaphant ride and bamboo raft day, the heat was pretty murderous being that we were in the hills now and we found ourselves trekking through dry rivers on rocks and jagged stones, I had popped a blister on the first day and stupid me was wearing thin silly trainers so at times it was really hard going, i went through about 10 bottles of water a day, but luckily due to my super strong tree trunk legs I coped alright. Others were not so fortunate and the amount of trekkers lessoned each day we walked.

Parts of the trek I have to say were really touristy and the long neck tribe below was one of those points, kids that looked horndously uncomfortable at stalls selling scarves earings and other tat. Itturned my stomach to be honest and was so fake and unneccesary, but I guess it earns them a living. By the end of day two we were down to five people but the second night of the trek was amazing, we spent the evening playing a national game where you kick a bamboo ball over a net in teams, I won every game I played in but not due to me being athletic (believe me) it was just luck but great fun and we ate rice and curry around a camp fire with a guitar like thing, It was a brilliant evening andf set us up for the last trek and the white water rafting on day three.

Mean while the girls were at home doing their own thing... strangely enough when I got to the water rafting on day three there they were waiting to go rafting themselves..... anyway here is their story in the net blog...
