This morning we took Disney transportation to my absolute favorite park, Magic Kingdom. It was here that we indulged in a laugh-a-thon at the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, where the little one-eyed monster, Mike told many jokes and filled the laugh tanks with enough power to keep the Monster land up and running for a while. We then rode Space Mountain and the Carousel of Progress, which happened to be Walt Disney's favorite attraction in the park! The Carousel takes you through several generations of technology, from the 1800s up to the present via an audio animatronic stage show. It sounds the message "There's a great, big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day," and one cannot help but smile after hearing the tune repeated throughout the 20 minute show.
We left MK around midday to ride the monorail to the Contemporary Resort where we lunched at The Wave, a new table service establishment on the Disney Dining plan. We each ordered sandwiches, and we indulged in the signature mini desserts. After filling our bellies with the rich meal, we returned to the hotel for a little R&R, so that we could freshen up for our evening at the Magic Kingdom.
For dinner, we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table, where we were entertained by the Fairy Godmother herself, singing "Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo!" From there, we found an excellent spot from which to view the Wishes nighttime spectacular, where we observed Tinker Bell in flight from the tip top to future world, and we listened to Jiminy Cricket promise that our dreams will come true when we wish upon a star!
