This trip was an experience of a lifetime!  I was fearful of the plane trip, of being in a foreign place, of attempting to speak the little french I gleaned from my Learn French in Your Car c.d.s, but it was all worth it!

Some excellent takeaways I learned from this trip:

1. The French are far nicer than the rest of the world gives them credit for.
2. Summers in Paris are not necessarily hot.
3. People watching is a worthy past time.
4. Crepes are the perfect breakfast or snack.
5. The Louvre is too big and has far too many exhibits to visit in one day.
6. My legs are the best source of transportation.
7. Enter and exit all trains with "pardon," and "excuse."
8. B.H.V. is the place to shop!
