It has involved a certain amount of flailing, but everything is coming together quite well: visa tomorrow [British floods permitting], the first night in Delhi is booked, Ethiad gives me a night in a hotel in Abu Dhabi on the way out, and I may not have to take malaria tablets after all.

And Shaun emailed! He reckons we'll be able to meet up somewhere. I'm staying positive and studiously ignoring the vagueness of the word 'somewhere'.
