Well after borrowing a car from a friend of Alannas (Mooie) we drove up to Pamplona at night to see the running of the bulls in the morning. Since we drove up on a whim we hadn*t?Ô organised any accom. so we had to spend the night in the car (a small VW Golf).
We woke up at 6:30 in the morning and drove around Pamplona for a while to find a park, we ended up parking in some kind of park a while out of town. We ran up the hills to see the running of the bulls but it turned out we where too late and we saw the last 2 old, slow bulls. We did however, see the end bit in the bull ring with heaps of people in with 1 or 2 bulls. The atmosphere was amazing and the people getting hit by the bulls where even funnier, I am the last one to like bull fights but seeing the bulls run after the cocky people and run them down was really liberating.
After that Alanna and I went to a camp sight just outside of town, it was quite peaceful there. We chilled out there for a bit, had a shower and headed back into town. It was wild, the people where everywhere and they had these kind of uniform things, white clothes and red Bandannas, it looked quite cool and you could spot the real tourists or people that didn't?Ô come prepared because they where just wearing jeans and t-shirts like Alanna and I. We got back to the camp sight and as we pulled in they started the fireworks for the end of the festival, and all I can say is that the Spanish know how to put on a fireworks show, the thing went on for an hour and it was really big.
