I had heard all about the donkey rides down the grand canyon, convinced Anita we were up for it and went to book us in. Would have worked out perfectly except they only let so many donkeys down a day, and you need to book three years in advance!! I didn't even know where I would be in three days, let alone three years!! So instead we went for a flight over the canyon, with a stop to have a look around.

The plane was a little one and took about 8 tourists, seated by weight. We were happy girls when we were seated at the back as the lightest passengers.

Once we had landed we were herded onto a bus, as we were getting closer we started to notice snow. Back down in Vegas it had been sunny and oh so warm so I was wearing a short skirt, singlet, flip flops. Naturally the bus herding the tourists stopped at a souvenir store, here I bought myself the cheapest warm item I could find. A giant hooded sweatshirt with GRAND CANYON emblazoned across it. Nice.

One stupid clothing purchase.
