Hours passed. Hours more passed. I went for a walk down the street to the supermarket where everything on the shelves was giant. I bought the smallest thing possible and headed back to wait. and wait. I was sure Anita was to arrive about 3pm and at about 10pm I was really getting worried so i rang home and asked Anita's flatmates where she was, no one knew. Calls around the country ensued but still no one knew. Those thoughts started to creep into my head.. Plane crash? She's gone home? She booked the wrong date? I booked the wrong date??
The area we were staying in was not the flashest and as it got later I propped a chair up against the door and slept. At about 3am there was a knock on the door - tentatively I admitted to being in the room and called out a Yes? It was Anita! Hurray. I'm sure I have never been happier to see her (despite what Anita will tell you...)
She had had some fun finding the hotel too, and her trip started with her boyfriend forgetting her passport and making a mad dash to their Hotel to get it, just in time to get her on the plane.. and then she had started her "10 mi" trip to the hotel.
