Em and Em ride again.. the thing with making friends while you travel is that most of them dont come from the house next door to you at your home base. So you make friends but regardless of how well you get on, there is often a strong likelihood you wont see them again.

So I was quite happy to get an email from young Emily saying she was coming over for a visit. Emily had been living in Switzerland and going home (America)via the UK.

Even though she had lived in England for six months a few years ago, she had never been to Wagamamas (japanese chain restaurant), so that became her tourist wish for the visit. Always up for a meal we were happy to oblige! Unfortunately Emilys visit coincided slap bang in the middle of my "cough disease" where i coughed non stop for about 2 months, and at lucky Emilys time of visit, i was at the part where my body was so used to coughing, it decided to go one step further and make me vomit about twice a day. Sadly all this did was make me ill and i didnt lose any weight! I think she really enjoyed going home after our night out (at wagamamas) about 8.00 since i was feeling so unwell..

We also took her to such exciting places as Leicester Square, a pub in Camden, and our couch. Best tour guides ever?

There should be plenty of opportunity to make it up though, Emily is based in Seattle, only about an hours drive from future residence of Vancouver.
