A long weekend and a visitor (hi Rumi) from Overseas, so what to do? Found a super budget fare that included a trip on the eurostar (another thing to tick off on my list) and a weekend in Brussels.

Cobus, Natasha, Rumi, Adrian and I headed over to the sunny capital where we partook in the local samples of chocolate and beer.

A local attraction (where one must head) is the "Pissing Boy" statue. Yes, the statue is as it sounds. Legend has it many moons ago the town was on fire, and thats how the fire was put out by one plucky lad. Having beaten off hundreds of other tourists to take our photos we headed into the beautiful town square, said to be the nicest in Europe. At night it is certainly a lovely romantic sight to see.
