We decided to go here as we found ourselves in Edinburgh again, and there is only so much you can do in Edinburgh as a tourist... so after seeing a megabus fare for about £2 each that was the decider (the £2).

We went on a Sunday so the whole town was pretty quiet.

One thing I had been interested in was a look at the ship Discovery, I like a bit of Antarctic history. The Discovery is the ship that Scott sailed to Antarctica in - so was keen to have a look. The whole thing was locked up though so we just posed for pics with the boat (and the plastic penguins also) and moved on. Shackelton had also sailed in the Discovery, but on his failed voyage where he had to turn back around.

There wasn't much else to do here (it could be different on a weekday) so we just wandered about. There was a giant Tesco (supermarket) so we played in there for a while and came out with some junk. We also ate at the classy Tesco restaurant (every little helps hey tesco).

Went for a walk along the water and checked out the rather dodgy and small discount outlet.

Dundee is also home to the UKs longest road bridge. My mum loves a bridge so we pottered around taking photos of the bridge too.

The just went to our nearest Weatherspoons (bar) till the bus back to Edinburgh showed up!
