I went on a Gondola ride up the nearby big mountain, Mt Titlus, and pretty much saw lots of white. Everything was shut, except the ice cave, and the souvenir store. I bought some rather expensive and unattractive gloves just to keep my hands warm and then lost them a few days later.
We had booked in to go to dinner with the others and somehow Tracey and I had managed to be a little behind schedule. We tracked our way to the restaurant by following footsteps in the snow. Miss Marples or what. After dinner we went to a bar and danced on some tables (not entirely sure if the bar staff were approving of this) and had a snow fight on the way home which was lots of fun, especially as we were headed back to our warm beds
On the way up to Engelburg we stopped in the lovely little town of Lucerne, which is the geographical heart of Switzerland. It was freezing and rainy so we headed into a Picasso museum for some warmth as well as some art! Lucerne is famous for its bridge that was built many moons ago, except that it burnt down in 1990 something and they rebuilt it to be the same! It must have been a lovely old bridge though and the whole town is quite cute.
