Our third and fourth nights camping on Tasmania were spent in the sleepy, picturesque town of Ross. We pitched up our tent facing the river and a pathway called Lovers Lane. Over the next few days we visited Ross' antique market, ate two massive vanilla slices, visited the old Female Factory, took an early evening stroll to the old cemetery and had a wonder around the wool and woodcraft shops.
After our four nights of camping we were on our way back into proper civilisation in the form of Launceston. After checking into our motel we went on a walk through the city’s main sights. These included visiting a group of Japanese Macquie Monkeys which were randomly housed in the City Park and then ten minutes out of the main centre we arrived at the rather impressive Gorge. The Next few days were spent having a general wonder around and spending an afternoon walking through the gorge to the old Duckreach Powerstation.
