As you see this is a very ornate Cathedral from the outside. The only area you could go to on the inside was via the tower which we climbed on tight, steep, spiraling stairs which opened to a balcony that encircled the apse and opened out onto outside walkways around the roof. The walls and arches inside the church bore deep cracks making it too dangerous to enter. There was a museum which had old painting, vestments, sculptures, and amazing jeweled reliqueries.
Then on to Toledo where we spent the night at the Kris Dominica Hotel (don't recommend it as it was too expensive for what you got). After dark we drove into the old town and walked the deserted streets and went out to dinner. Carol tried seafood Paella which she liked and I had a Spanish Pizza that sucked! After we ate and were walking back to the car about 9pm the streets were filling with people just then coming out to eat and stroll the plazas. They eat late and stay up late and all the shops open late in the morning and close for siesta.
