We got up this morning and drove to Avila. It is the oldest Medieval Walled City in Europe. People have been living inside the walled part of the city for over a thousand years and it is still the heart of the city. The Avia Cathedral was what really knocked us out, but before we could go inside Carol nearly knocked herself out while taking pictures of the storks and their nests on the church steeples. We were standing on the top of a flight of stairs across from the Cathedral and while still looking up she took a step forward into thin air. She managed the six stairs in two long stumbling steps, and hit the pavement at the bottom face down. Wish we had pictures of the inside of the Cathedral but... as she went down she whipped the camera into the cobble stones shattering the display screen and killing the flash. It was a real nice Cathedral!

Then on to Salamanca and shopping for a new camera.

Man Oh Man! I hope you're not hurt ... thank God you don't drink : P
While your shopping for a new camera just for the fun ... get Sam a portable camera to take those bloopers of Carol ... I think they would make for some funny pictures to add to your fabulous photo gallery! Whatcha think!
