Finally the weather is favorable! We got stuck almost a week, waiting for the wind to come from the right direction! Every morning, all th crew members were standing in the line, to read the last meteo messages. Dissapointment, anger, irritation... it is really frustrating to be stuck in your own country!
But today, we leave!! We let the ropes go, engine in reverse to het out of the berth, a little forward, ok, a little backward...backward!!!  "klingklang kling klang" terrible noise, we still go forward, I am to slow to react and to put a fender, and boum, we hit a boat in front of us. The noise and the shouting brought people around, I throw the ropes, they tear us back into our berth. My heart is beating like hell, I wonder, what is THIS now??

Frank stays calm, turns the engine off, opens the floor and goes to look at the engine. Comes back, "ok, all set, no problem, I need some new bolts, since I seem to have forgotten to put the nuts on when reassembling the engine last month...we will leave withing an hour"

What?? Within an hour? I secretly think that I certainly do not know if I feel fit to leave without an hour! Well, we jump off the boat, go to the chandlery, and Frank cannot find the correct size of bolt. He starts searching for alternative solutions, and by the time he found screws in the correct dimensions, it is too late to leave. I have to admit, I feel quite reliefed!
