Where I stayed
We finally made it into Mexico. We have had many breakdowns on this trip and yesterday we had yet another and had to replace the calipers and pads on both of the rear breaks so it put us back another day.
Our crossing at the Pharr bridge was uneventful, it took 20 minutes after we got to the window to secure our vehicle permit. A young woman made a brief walk through our MH, she said it was pretty, and wanted to know how much it cost and we were off. At the 100 kilometer check, they waved us right through.
In Monterrey, we ran into some construction where they split the westbound lanes with the left 2 being express lanes, we went left knowing that we did not want to stop. Without us realizing when it happened, a couple of lanes of eastbound traffic were routed between the westbound lanes. Everything is different in Mexico.
We see a lot of smaller cars in Mexico made by American car makers that are just not available in the US. The one in the picture was in Monterrey, never saw it before, but the emblem on the front looks like it may be a Pontiac. Cute car.
The statue of St Catherine is in the town of Santa Catarina. All of the towns in Mexico have art objects displayed, so much more than in the US.
We arrived at Saltillo around 4 pm and heard a squeak as we were turning into the drive coming from the MH. Could it be the new brakes or a wheel bearing going? Bill will look further into it tomorrow.

Glad you made it. Park that thing and relax awhile! 5 inches of wet snow here, branches and trees down on my fences. Glad the chainsaw man was here to clean it up for me. Bet you don't miss our weather!
So you finally made it into Mexico, from the route you are taking looks like you are heading down the middle. We got back about 2 weeks ago. In hindsight could probably have meet up before we crossed. Have a great time,
