So I decided that I wanted a tan before I got back to the land of cold so where should we decide to head but......A-CA-PUL-CO!
It was so much fun, the sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and the sand getting into places where it shouldn't have done! ha ha. We left on Friday morning and drove down to the coast and guess who drove part of the way....nobody else but yours truly! Mexico highways as cheap as they are (yeah right!) are surprisingly simple to drive on, other than the fact I have to use my wrong hand to control the gear box!
We stayed at my friend's apartment which was truly beautiful and right in town. Acapulco itself reminds me of a posh european resort where the rich come to play. It's truly like how you see it on TV and stuff. Beachside restaurants, cafes, bars are all the rage. Things tend to be quite expensive, especially if you're on a Peso diet but cheaper than Playa Del Carmen.
Well we spent two nice long days there, saw the cliff divers who are really insane dropping off huge cliffs to make a big splash in the cold ocean, bught tacky souvenirs, and ate lots of fresh, nice seafood!
Check the pics out!
p.s sorry it's a late entry but I only got my underwater camera developed yesterday! ha ha
