OK so I know this is long overdue but better late than never!
So about three weeks ago, I went to one of my co-ordinator's birthday do's and it was a blast. We all had so much fun (and sushi!) and met some great people.
The next weekend some friends and I headed off to what's called Bellas Artes which is like this huge auditorium where world famous artists play cool stuff. I saw a Brazilian Cellist and a Uruguayan Pianist do thses pieces which were truly extraordinary!
The same weekend we went to one of my Spanish class student's leaving do in the south of the city. Christina was from Chicago and was staying with her Mexican family here in D.F. and it was such a laugh cos it was the first time I had been to a true Mexican house and I wasn't over run by expats!
The party had cool traditional music and I donned on a cool Sombrero in the process.
Last weekend I went to Plaça Garibaldi which is in the heart of town. It's supposed to be a rough part but I went with some friends to listen to cool Mariachi music and dance and it was fun, fun, fun.
Anyhow I look forward to my sister coming here in a couple of weeks and I'm sure we'll be going to loadsa places.
Keep y'all posted.
Cheers,
Amit
