OK so I've arrived in the big 'ol US of A. This is my fourth time here and it's been four long years since I came here last. That trip was also one of my longest as I lived here as part of my uni degree.

I departed London Gatwick on time at 10.15 AM bound for Cinncinatti as my plane changed here. My flight was OK, nothing special, food was OK and the cabin had a wierd sense of beige about it as was the flight, beige. Delta don't offer seat-back TVs I guess so I had to watch TV on a huge monitor. That would have been OK, had they not shown crappy films that even I hadn't heard of. Anyhow I guess you get what you pay for. Crew and food was good but I can never sleep on flights so I arrived into Cinncinatti feeling a bit crappy.

I waited absolutely ages in line for customs as the officers divided the flight into 'US Residents' and 'Naaaaaaan US Residents'. After having gone through customs (why do we always feel nervous around them?) I was feeling a bit peckish so I headed for KFC. Now the reason for a KFC is that Cinncinatti is in N.Kentucky i.e. Kentucky Fried Chicken, but alas I think they got rid of it 'cos I swear last time it was here.

Anyhow after a small layover and a bit of a panic as they chaged departure gate, I found myself on a small, very noisy plane headed for Dallas Forth Worth. After a two hour bumpy flight and a severe blocking of my right ear, I spotted my cousin's wife looking for me at baggage claim. After her initial shock at my hair (was grapefruity-pink), we got my bags and headed for the apartment.

So here I am, two flights, two very red eyes, and a bit of a cold later, I find myself relaxing with some beer in the Land of the free.
