Well, the weekend didn't start off as planned....

Ken was supposed to go to Portland, Maine to work with a new client. So I was going to go with him and we were going to have a wonderful time visiting gorgeous Maine and eat fresh lobster! Then I was going to take the train down to see my friend Catherine in Rhode Island and then go over to Stamford Connecticut and stay with my friend Lisa and see all my old friends from the New Canaan Nature Center.

That was the plan... it's been modified....

Friday afternoon something happened in Maine that prevented Ken from working on the project until the problem is fixed - so I was heart-broken that we could not go on our trip together. He thinks the problem will be fixed in a few days and then he can come to Maine, so until then, he wanted me to go ahead and go see my friends in Ct.

So I had to switch my flight plans and take a flight to JFK through Charlotte NC. Of course I have to wait about 6 hours in the airport until my flight. I probably could have rented a car and driven their quicker!

The nice thing about the airport is that it has free wireless AND rocking chairs - yes, you heard me right - white rocking chairs all over the place - now that is southern hospitality! So as I was playing on my computer, using the free wireless, I decided to start charting my quest. Here is a photo of me creating my first travel blog. And here is a photo of these adorable white rocking chairs. Did you notice the pilot in one? That isn't something you see everyday!

When I roll into JFK my friends, Lisa and Ellis will be picking me up and then taking me to stay at their house in Stamford, CT. They are soooooo sweet! I
