6/4, Friday - Today we traveled north again. Iris will spend a few days staying with cousins, Myrna & Clint, near Olympia, WA and seeing other friends in the area. Myrna & Clint live in a lovely planned community named Jubilee near of the town of Lacey and within walking distance of the beach on Puget Sound. Linda traveled on to Port Orchard on the east side of the Olympic Peninsula to her sister and brother-in-law, Leon & Judy.  They live on a hillside overlooking Puget Sound with fabulous views of Seattle and Mt. Rainier across the water to the east. Judy & Leon have 3 dogs and a cat.  The cat is definitely hiding since the arrival of Hunter. Hunter loves to chase cats! She will join this crazy animal house until Linda returns from Europe. 6/5, Saturday -  Today was Linda's mother-in-law’s memorial service and celebration of her life.  She passed away at the age of 88.  Many friends and family came to share their memories of her and the many years of fun we all had together.  It seemed like God knew we were celebrating one of his special ones, because the skies were blue with puffy white clouds and the temperature might have even reached the low 70’s (21C).  A beautiful day!

Iris was visiting her cousins, Myrna & Clint in a lovely retirement community called Jubilee, outside of Olympia, Washington, the state capital.   Since it was a glorious day, they went on a drive around the sound, stopping to enjoy lunch outdoors of fresh seafood, while watching sailboats and this cute little boat chugging by.

6/6, Sunday – We traveled back to Centralia to Linda’s mom’s house.  The 3 of us then went to dinner at Diane & Rich Garrison’s house up on Cook’s Hill.  What a beautiful setting they have out in the country with majestic fir trees, rolling fields growing hay, and a park-like setting around the house.

6/7, Monday – Off we went back to the Portland area to Beaverton, a suburb of Portland.  There we will spend most of the week with our good friend, Joanie Hanson.  Linda’s son, RJ & daughter-in-law, Vicki, are expecting their baby to be born this week and so Linda has her cell phone ready at hand.

Looks like you guys are having a fabulous time in our neck of the woods (when we are not in Umbria, we are in Seattle). Tom's folks live in Centralia, and has sister in Lacey. Lovely time in a beautiful place. See you in Umbria soon!
