well, back to our travel philosophy...

we are active and adventurous... we make plans, but we are flexible enough to change or abandon them if something picks our interest along the way...

we don't self-impose the obligation to do and see as much as possible...we go for quality rather than quantity, and we want to believe that one day - if we wish to return for more - we will...

our taste is eclectic...

we enjoyed spending a whole day at the Prado in Madrid or d'Orsay in Paris or Uffizzi in Florence as much as we enjoyed a day in the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai feeding, watching and washing the elephants...

we as fondly remember the morning we spent in Monet's garden in Giverny admiring the tranquil beauty of the water lily pond as the afternoon of walking in St. Geneviève-des-Bois Cemetery looking for the graves of many notable Russians buried there...

listening to the soulful, melancholic Fado music in a little tavern in Lisbon was a pleasure...and we didn't regret watching corrida (bullfighting) at Las Ventas in Madrid...

we went deep sea fishing in the Andaman Sea...and found our way to a little gem of a museum a few hours away from Amsterdam in the middle of nowhere - the Kroller-Muller museum...

we parasailed and swam with the dolphins...and so much more...

we spent lazy afternoons at sidewalk cafes in Paris, nursing our coffee and watching the local scene passing by, and we spent two 8-hour days (quite rigorous!) learning foot massage at a massage school in Thailand...

we stayed in a luxurious private ocean-side villa with a huge infinity pool in Phuket as happily as we stayed in a modest guest house with "bring your own toiletries" in Northern Thailand... we went first class and no class...it's not so essential to us...

we take it all...

we love it all...
