What did I get up to in Córdoba? Pretty much nothing. I signed up for some Spanish lessons straight away and drifted into a routine of having a lazy breakfast, having two hours of confusing Spanish and then going for a siesta in the afternoon to relax.

It was tough. There wasn´t really very much else to do in Córdoba which did become a problem after a couple of days of nothingness. I´d planned to try and get a bus to Bariloche but due to the Christmas rush here everthing was booked up for ages and I had to implement plan B and travel to Mendoza instead.

Easier said than done though. The bus station was a mess when I arrived, heaps of people waiting to get their bus and with over 40 to choose from it was tricky. The man in the information booth was pretty hopeless, all he could tell me was that the bus hadn´t arrived yet but not which platform to wait at. I wasn´t particularly good at listening for the anouncements either. In the end I walked up and down the platforms looking for Mendoza written in big letters on the front of the bus, no luck.

Eventually I returned to the man in the box 10 minutes after the departure time of my bus, this time he came out his box and told me to follow him. He took me over to a bus that had Córdoba written in big letters at the front and Mendoza written in small letters on an A4 piece of paper in the front window. How was I to know. I was the last one on and we left practically immediately after this. I was kind of lucky again.
