We caught the overnight sleeper Down from St P's, very comfy. I had to surpress my giggles at the Americans when they talked about going to 'Moss Cow', mind you, who am I to say anything with the accent that I have. For Moss Cow to beat St P's it was going to have to play a really good game, it only had 2 days to impress and the clock was ticking.

Hotel - Check - Mmmm, not bad.

Metro - Check - Pretty good, really busy though and the pesky Russians don't have any manners, pushing, shoving and can you believe that they never hold a door open for any one! and as for the grannies, stay clear of those elbows, they've been going through the metro for years.

Wallet - Check - Yep still there after the metro.

Red Square - Check - It isn't Red, what a swizz.

St Basil's - Check - Yep it's as wacky as the pictures I saw before coming here.

Boat Trip - Check - wake me up when it finishes.

Bolshoi Ballet - Check - No Performances tonight, bugger.

City Leader - Check - Anna, nope, rubbish.

The Kremlin - Check - Looking forward to this one - should be a goodie - is that it? Is that all there was? A number of government buildings and churches that look like all the other churches in Russia. It did have the biggest bell in the world though, it never donged since it cracked the first time the Tzar's wife tried to use it.

Errrrrmm - Did I mention the Metro?

Moss Cow scores a point over St P's for the St. Basil's .vs. Church of the Spilt Blood challenge, and maybe the metro, but on all other counts, St P's was the winner. So you heard it here first kids, Head north.

Next entry will be cunningly called 'The Train Across Half of Russia', Bet you can't wait for the next installment!

Ron.
