finally i kicked myself into the writing again. Well, we'd like to share with you couple of words and pictures from this summer, which we spent in Slovakia, partly in Croatia:)
So, the travelling started 1st of July, when we took the plane to Budapest. Flight went ok, we were actually flying over my(Palo's)homeland. I wanted so much to see High Tatras from above, but nothing. Anyway, we landed nicely and moved quickly to train station to catch a train to Miskolc, which we managed. We were picked by our friends from my hometown Mayko and Wlad and got home something past midnight.
Next day we didn't do much, just roam around Giraltovce, enjoying the heat and sun.
Following Friday was already the time for daytrip to Medzilaborce, which is east of,... well east of everything. Place is famous for the museum of Modern Art, dedicated Andy Warhol. As you might know or might not, Andy's parents lived in close by village Mikova, before they moved to U.S.A. Althoght, he has never been there, he kept in touch with his family back there. Museum built there has a lot of copies, but presumably couple of originals from Andy's work. Well, I asked while buying tickets how many originals do they have, but they couldn't tell me. Shame. Anyway, museum itself was interesting and display was nicely made.
After that, we had lunch(not so good) and moved on to another place of interest -Sninsky Kamen.
Sninsky Kamen is rock formation on the top of the hill, situated in Vihorlat hills. From there(1000m) you can see couple of villages, towns and the lake in the middle of the forest( Morske Oko).
In the beginning we had a problem to find the right route up, but managed that and were rewarded such a stunning views from a top. Weather was nice, partly cloudy, not rain at all.
So this was the first of entries we're going to write and share...
write to you soon and don't hesitate to write some comments
PS: And forgive me if my writing is messy, i'm bit rusty:)
