Day 240:
Easy morning, after a good night's sleep in Philip’s room who moved for the rest of the week into his brother’s room. By lunch time I finally got myself going – off to Lahaina, of the oldest settlements on Maui with a nice pier and Front Street. Front Street is lined with restaurants and tour providers. I got introduced to the concept of time-sharing here. You can get good discounts on almost all tours if you share your time and visit a presentation of about 3 hours on one of the resorts. They try to get you staying in there next time you visit. I didn’t have to time nor the mood to listen to a resort sales rep for 3 hours. I just checked out the pier and the huge Banyan Tree Park – with yet again another incredibly huge Banyan tree. It just doesn’t look like one tree only. After a while I headed back to Kihei and enjoyed the Kama’ole beach and the sunset. Actually my first sunset on Hawaii! When I got back to Cara’s house I was just in time for pork ribs! We spent the evening talking, about good old times – school time, some what???? 17 years ago????
