..........Don't know when we'll be back again. We hit Sydney this morning for some Minnitt family, poor neck and Bec and Dan show time after smashing a couple of farewell beverages at the Coolangatta Airport bar on the Gold Coast and playing coaster frisbee with Don. We visited 'Poor Neck' and watched Johnny Minnitt watch the oven.... 'The Thinker'
Now this is where our crazy monkey comes into it. We made the discovery that Baby monkey (purchased from a plastic tree at the Melbourne Airport on a previous journey....shhh!!! Don't tell him that he thinks he's real) had stowed away in Nadine's backpack and is now along for the ride. Naughty, cheeky monkey he is. Even though he was going to take up space and would be a responsibility, we were secretly very happy to have him along. Of course he's never one to miss a party. One glance at his gorgeous face and i knew we couldn't do it without him no matter how daggy the idea is of having a pet mascot fluffy toy to shove in front of monuments, landmarks and places of interest as we take tacky tourist photos of him all over the world. Our monkey really is special and as Nadine always says, he is real.
The captain has turned the seatbelt signs on and we're fully strapped in for the ride.
First stop, Sydney to San Francisco. Bring it! Game on!
