Bangkok
One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
A little flesh, a little history
I can feel an angel sliding up to me

One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me

Mye sant i lyrikken fra Chess.
Forlot Koh Chang i dag morges.

(Maa passe paa at ingen faar klump i magen og blir redd for meg her :-) Her faar man kjopt det meste.

A lot of truth in the above lyrics from Chess.
I left Koh Chang this morning and arrived in Bangkok around 4 pm.I checked in at the Grand Business inn, just because it was there when I jumped off the minivan. I regret that I didn't go to Oasis inn where I was planning to go, but this hotel is nice enough, free internet and everything. And it's only for one night anyway. The hotel is good enough if not a bit boring.
I tried out the metro in Bangkok today, which is as good as any other metro-systems I have tried out. Clean and nice and light and security people and all in all very good, felt very safe. There is even guards on the outside checking peoples bags, they wouldn't check mine though.

I was passing by the Lumphini park. This is where the Bangkokers (?) work out. Outdoors aerobic classes, lots of joggers with and without style, badminton players. And some who just sat and watched all the people and enjoyed(?) the music from a thai-pop-band who was playing there. Close to Lumphini park is the night market, and night is after 6 o'clock when the sun has set. Here you can buy almost everything you need and don't need. Food, cd's, dvd's, clothes, nice things to hang on the wall, ugly things to hang on the wall, jewellery, perfume, massage with and without happy ending. And here you can also find some of Bangkok's go-go bars. It is very obvious, you can stand on the street and see the girls on the scene inside dancing by the poles. I guess it's a way to survive in this twisted world.
Tomorrow I will leave Bangkok and go to Kuala Lumpur.
