In downtown Charleston, it was difficult to find a place to get my feet in the ocean. Even though it was chilly and overcast, a trip to the ocean was a must! There were several "bars" that extended out into the ocean ... I'm assuming the were there to break the waves. I got to stand on one and happily snap photos of the water (way too many by most human standards) while surfers and kayaks attempted to catch some waves.
