Spring is in the air but a warmer spring than what one would wish for! Nevertheless, the Rani Bagh is always pleasant in the morning.
Here are the pictures:
The heritage archway with the two grand baobabs - Adansonia digitata
Bronze scupture of the Prince of Wales with the heritage wood conservatory at the back
Beautiful old banyan tree. Paradise flycatchers, barbets, night herons and myriad other birds can be seen in its branches
The poor, hapless deer in their stagnant water pool. Such a crime to keep animals in the zoo.
Cute squirrel hunting for ants or bees in a flower of the Shaving Brush Tree - Bombax ellipticum
Spring leaves
Bat in couroupita tree
Exquisite and rare Gustavia Insignis, also called Gustavia superba
Strophanthus gratus flower
Amherstia nobilis on the wane
Fallen flower of Brownea grandiceps
Lovely staff bungalow!
Kingfisher on dormant Plumeria tree
Beaumontia grandiflora climber
Dillenia suffruticosa
Saraca asoka
Pretty pink Tabebuia rosea
