On 13 February, we visited the annual plant exhibition held every February at the Byculla zoo grounds. As always, there was a good variety of ornamentals, medicinal herbs, fruit trees, vegetable shrubs, ferns, orchids and so forth on show. This year there were many more nursery stalls with a good variety of plants on sale at variable prices.
What caught my eye the most was out of the exhibition grounds - the Amherstia Nobilis tree in full glorious bloom, just inside the zoo entrance. Here it is:
Later that day, we were lucky to see a Buttercup Tree - Cochlospermum Religiosum in all its glory:
