I visit Mumbai's Ranibagh zoo at Byculla regularly as it is a floral paradise with several rare and unusual species, some more than a century old. The animals are in a pathetic condition which is a separate story.
I rarely glance at the caged animals as I cannot bear to see them in their pitiable state. The rare spectacle of the DANCING WHITE PEACOCKS could not however, escape my rapt attention. This is the sequence in the photographs:
