Where I stayed
Glen na Smole B&B, Wicklow, Co. Wicklow
Last night, after Dublin, I headed "home" to Wicklow. The B&B is nice and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept on (mine is a double twin). The walk into town is peaceful, a running brook along the very green tree-lined road. There were horses in the field behind my room and sheep in pastures everywhere you turn. There is a church on the hill that I have yet to see and the Irish Sea is nearby. I will see them tonight or tomorrow. It doesn't get dark until 10 p.m.
Wicklow is my ideal place to live. Just the right size, a lot of personality, and green - both in nature and recycling. I liked my evening stroll through town. It was Sunday night, you could hear and see the cheerfulness of the pubs...and I'm out of money and time...to be continued.
