We have to spend the night in Dilla before the next bus to Moyale.
We are such a novalty here. While we walk to the top of the local mountain, people run out of their houses to shake our hands. A man shouts "Shake me!" before running across the road to shake us. We stop to buy a drink and people crowd around us to watch.
On the way back we are accosted by the village idiot. He asks "where are you go, to coming?" and then tells us "I love you %100. Probably 1 birr to objectify my mind. I am a normal man." All the people on the road are laughing at him.

Dilla
I lived in Dilla for over two years and was treated like a popstar the entire time. I was reknown in the village as the 'white woman who isn't a nun'. If you get the chance you must go - the sunsets from the 'Andernet bar' that gives you a clear view to lake Chamo are wonderful. Beautiful country and excellent people.
