Got up at 5:00am as we had to get to the El Tatio geysers by sunrise. Personally i would have rather missed sunrise and had more sleep. With all of my layers i actually was quite warm. The cat came in to say goodbye. It was really cold in the jeep and i occupied myself with wriggling my toes in an attempt to warm them up. When we got the the geyser (there was only one) i was quite amused (as was Paul). I couldnīt believe we got up for this one geyser! (those who have been to Rotorua in New Zealand would understand). Then we went to some hot springs where it was too cold and windy to jump in (thinking about how freezing it would be to get out) so i soaked my feet to warm them up which was nice. We had breakfast which had some nice looking cake (which of course had eggs in it so i missed out). Laguna Verde was next on the list. It was so beautiful (see the photo). Then we got dropped off at the Chilean border where we waited for the connecting tour group. I was wrapped when they showed up. There was only one guy on the tour. A canadian-armenian (you are right about them Kerry). Had lunch at Laguna Colorada and drove for ages through the most gorgeous scenery. Arrived in the afternoon in a cute little village called Villa Mar. It is built into the side of a quarry. Climbed up to the top of the quarry for sunset. At dinner a group of local kids and a lady came to entertain us with local music which was really cool.
